May....

The bank holiday gave us cooler and less sunny conditions than expected, but at least it remained dry.
Last evening while walking my dogs, as you can see to the left I took this picture of the moon. Some gardeners take in consideration lunar cycles when planting. Here's a link to one site I came across while looking in to this subject 'Lunar Organics'
This week my tomatoes are showing signs of fungal disease, i'm aways guilty of planting too many plants in one area. Tomatoe's, especially in damp conditions, need plenty of circulating air. I have removed any infected leaves, reducing the number of leaves will aslo help promote air flow. Many growers encourage this leaf removal as it encourages a greater fruit yield.
Below you can see a couple of photos's I took the other evening, while walking on the St Micheal's Way route.

12th......

It's been a very windy start to the week, I hope your plants didn't suffer too much damage.
As you can see below my tomatoe's are now starting to fruit, the plants are almost a metre high now. My black currant's are also fruiting, this is the first fruiting year for these plants.
Also below are a couple more photo's in my garden this week....
